The Heritage of Timisoara project serves to document an gather information about the historic buildings from this western city in Romania. The city is known as being the one with the biggest historic architectural patrimony in the country, so knowing about the historical value of each building - from the architectural point of view, to construction data and time periods, to the tales of the folks who have and continue to live there - is one of the main focuses of this project.
Each year the project maps and creates events about and in one of the main five districts from the city but for the last event in 2021, they chose to pay homage to the city's main architects throught history that designed the most iconic buildings. I chose to illustrate Hotel Carlton (1935), now called Hotel Cina Banatul, designed by arh. Albert Krausz & The Carmen Sylva Pedagogics Highschool (1903), designed by arh. Lipot Baumhorn.
